Oh Night,
Cloaked in solitary silence,
Pierced by an infant’s cry.
One touch,
Gentle and familiar,
And the babe is reassured.
Mother will not abandon you.
Mother will forever love you.
Mother, oh mother,
One touch,
And my heart is reassured.
