If I'm Your Universe Where's My World?
How can I tell the truth from the lies
When all the lies are so real
You said you loved me
Like the first drop of rain falling from a thunderstorm
That’s how fast I came down
I fell into your arms
As though endless laughter and holding hands while you drove me home in the dark meant anything
I should’ve known
That’s what happens to girls who fall off the edge of reality
Like a lighted match to gasoline you ignited me that cloudy Sunday
You told me “babe you’re my universe” but you never even gave me the world
When the seasons changed so did your eternal love
How pathetic you are, it’s a wonder your pants don’t catch on fire from all the lies you tell
