I am a shadow which walks these halls
but there's no darkness on the walls
I am a spirit, nothing more
and barely tread upon the floor
I dodge around others for they don't see me
and why should they, in my invisibility
They laugh and talk but I do not-
I, who many of them have forgot
And I am trapped within this cage
but though I am angry I cannot rage
For I am silent and I am alone
it's a horrible life to condone
Yet here I am, however barely,
and so I speak, however rarely
For I am the shadow that haunts these halls
and the bars of my cage are these walls
I am a spirit, nothing more,
trading silently forevermore
