Start From The Beginning
Appearing in bark and stones,
Cave; the ways bear could walk and live
Footprints from men and lions
Determined to hunt, to survive.
So small, yet so needed
These never-ending walls of history
Food chain after chain
That I can only describe as Life.
Only time can define the infinite clouds
That circle back around
For the billionth time
And how fire is a toy,
Not a necessity or a miracle.
Trees fell, still,
New ones took their place
New generations took place.
With each new life,
A piece of the old seems to die
Or become lost in a cloud
That has yet to turn back around.
