Not 1, But 2
My heart races to a
 S-T-O-P
As I look up and see my sister
 Plummet into the muddy grass
As I watch her get carried off the field
 My eyes swell with tears

After my sister’s long wait in the doctor’s office
I listen to my mom’s words roll
 Off her tongue and
Then the bitterness stings in my mouth
As my sour tears trample over my face
My hands tremble as I clutch my sister
 I whisper in her ear
 Telling Sarah
She is my role model, my hero, my sister
Her warm soothing breath on my shoulder
Relaxes me, giving me a reassuring comfort

 2
 Not 1, but 2 surgeries
That night seeing her pain aches me inside
 Her tense muscles
 Her teary eyes
 Her strength
 Makes my stomach lurk and
 I try
I try to make her cheerful
Be the absolute best sister I can be
 And I keep telling her
Sarah you are the strongest women in the world
And to me Sarah is the strongest women in the world
