Fireflies
An early morning light
Seeps through thinly drawn veils
The light of Dawn
Pushing back the shadows of the night before
And hanging in the air
Are a million specks of dust
They are illuminated by the light
And transformed
Into twinkling fireflies, floating
Alone these fireflies
As they fall gently to the ground
But worry not
Because for every firefly that greets the floor
Another has already taken its place.
