Granite Stone
A granite stone lies in front of me.
The granite stone is cut in a perfect square.
The sides are even.
The top and bottom of the stone is perfectly flat.
There is engraved writing on the stone.
The words are carved with no mistakes.
It looks so perfect.
Then I look around the perfect rock.
The grass is growing all around it.
It is short like the life that lies beneath it.
There are roses right next to it.
They are as red as blood.
The stems and leaves of the roses are green.
I look at the roses long and hard.
The roses are beautiful.
The perfect stone will sit where it is forever.
It will mark a place forever.
The perfect stone marks a place where it will be forever.
One day I will have a stone.
It will mark my place Forever.
