Free From Them...and Everyone Else
No sense of privacy
No time on my own
They don’t ever
Leave me alone
I want to experience it
The satisfaction
Of being oneself
Not being afraid
Of anything
Or anybody else
I want to be myself
Without their questions
And inquisitions
And their nosy,
Judgmental,
Good for nothing
Opinions
How much longer
Do I have to bear
The congested atmosphere
Of many breaths
And a million eyes,
The hair on my neck standing
Warning of a glare
No use pretending
To make them happy
Anymore
Its eating away at me
Its eating away at me
I want to be myself
Free from them,
And everyone else
