Memories
I take a look around,
in this house of memories.
Step over old worries,
leap over old achievements.
Lining the walls,
are photographs,
of smiles at beaches,
of wonders at zoos,
of children,
dressed up in clothes
4X too big;
dressed in their dreams for the
future.
I stop.
I stare.
I think, of my journey;
So short,
yet so long.
I look at where I've come from.
Things have changed.
I have grown older,
moved away,
Ive met new people,
but you re still the same.
I keep changing,
but you stay the same.
You are my memories.
You live in this house.
I keep you with me,
always.
You guide me.
I draw my strength from you.
You will be with me,
evermore,
and always.
