Moon, doth thou weep for thee
Lying under the willow tree
Drowning in the pain of others
Upon an unimportant rock
Thy beating heart lay.
There marks an untold story
An undreamed dream,
Moon who shines like lace
Raining down from above
Weep for me no longer
For ancient times were shot forward
And, my dear moon
I must leave you now
Bare no ill will to them
For they know not what
They have done
Good bye my moon
I shall disappear into the sun.

Brilliant work! Sounds like a seasoned writer rather than a student!
