It's so hard to look up when you've been looking down for so long.

I look to my left, I look to my right
Four walls surrounding me
One, Two, Three, Four...
One window, no door...
A lot has happened in these four walls...
Some people find there inner soul
Some people find intimacy
Some people sleep their life away
Some people...
Their state of mind is not what it should be
It's like, if they're locked in a car and saw a bat
They'd use the bat to bust the window
Instead of just unlocking the car...
But you see me, I'm not some people
I'm one person
And I R E F U S E to let my past dictate what my future maybe
And I R E F U S E to stay within these four walls
I used to think I was trapped
I used to think that window was too high to reach
But one day I looked through the window
And that's when I found h o p e
It's something a lot of people lack
But I found my hope
Looking through that window was like a view of heaven
After I found my hope, along came a door
I slowly cross the room
Every step, brings me a little closer
Sometimes I get tired
And I have to take a break
But I never look back
And I never turn around
Step, step, step
I slowly grasp the cool door knob
And before I know it, that door is open
This is where it all ends
And this is where it all begins
