Bodies move to allow me access,
They watch with mild interest,
But none of that matters,
It’s you and I,
Moving as if in a dream.

And finally here you are,
Gazing at me like I’m precious piece of art,
Your eyes hold me in an embrace
For just a moment,
I must memorize, memorize, memorize,
Because soon, I know you will be gone,
Only a fading memory,
Just like everything else.

I am an active editor/marketing manager of my school's creative writing club. We are holding submitting on of our favorite works and this piece called to me. I hae been trying to scrounge up the courage to submit it for a while. This contest at my school gave me the initiative to submit this work.
