Imperfections

Imperfections.

So blinding,
That they send truths fading into the distance,
Until they shimmer as nothing but an illusion.

Leaving perfect as nothing but an empty promise.

You stand there,
Gazing at your past,
In such a cracked, judgmental mirror.

Imperfections.

Glaring back at you in the hollows of your eyes.
You don’t even know.

Lock eyes with that mirror,
Watch as I tear it to a million diamonds,
Falling at your feet.

Until the only reflection becomes your beauty in my eyes.
