Jealousy

They say no man shall be enraged by another’s success
Yet the old man still sits rocking in his chair
Jealousy,
He ponders himself but no one can hear
Jealousy,
Over past years
History that should be forbidden or written on scribes,
Passed down to one another
If you decide
Jealousy vs. Envy
Some query can you tell the difference?
“Why does he have that?”
The old man hears the hissing whisper
Behind your back
In front of your face
Smell of disgust
Makes you want to scurry
away
Like a thief in the night
Snatching your possessions
Wanting to be just like you
Jealousy,
All round you
The old man leisurely stops rocking
He is done with his story
Are you done, with your story?
Jealousy,
Maintains, again…
