Tea with the Devil
I've had crumpets with corpses
Floated down to Hell
Sat in ice cold chairs with the Devil
We both drank
Scorching hot tea
Sharing jokes
We could be good friends
Until I am swept to a field
Tall grass touches my face
Dark storm clouds swirl above my head
Small candies take the place of rain
So tempting
But I won't take one
It's like Adam and Eve
I am both
My conscious the snake
Slithering those vulgar thoughts into vulnerable, unguarded parts of my head
I should leave
But my feet are glued to the ground
There is no leaving
If I turn back
There is no way to get better
I will never reach
Zero
