“Ah you who are silent!
As you lay on the ground motionless, with your eyes shut.
Your clothes soaked with water from the lake where I pulled you out from.
Your skin pale white as the clouds on a sunny day.
My eyes start bucketing tears after I feel your silent pulse.
Oh my love, who is silent! Please don’t die on me!
As I continuously press down on your chest and breathe into your mouth.
My weeping greatly intensifying after each compression and breath that doesn’t bring you back.
Oh my love who is now forever silent.
My eyes pouring like an abundant waterfall.
I move in and place one final kiss on your forehead.
My one and only true love that no other female on this planet can replace.
My life will never be the same without you by my side and I’ll always love you will significantly
miss you so.”

Pablo Neruda's poetry greatly influenced me when I was writing this piece.
