Nothing Lasts Forever
The memories that they once shared are now just dreadful, painful thoughts
They lay deep within her heart slowly tearing her apart
She cries herself to sleep at night over the memories that they once shared
Her head wonders constantly if for her he ever even cared
She says the real thing would suffice
Although not everything about him was so nice
The memories that they once shared
Now all the photographs are teared
Even if she can't forget his face, his warm embrace is fading
Now she quietly sits there contemplating the memories that they once shared
