Spring
When finally the spring time came the world was all a abuzz.
The baby chicks, whom hatched today, did don their attire of fuzz.
And yes the trees did bud again, and showed their leaves anew.
For winter took its final breath as we all bid it adieu.
The harsh cold winter hardened us and filled the world with spite.
But winter like an angry bear did not give up its fight.
For very many months on end we warmed our souls by fire.
The hope that spring would show its face is what we did desire.
Much time had past but the day did come when winter grew too weary.
Our heads looked skywards with the news that we cherished oh so dearly.
Sure enough, the sun, it shines! This wondrous first day of spring.
And with its kiss comes joy and bliss. Oh the magic this season brings!
Soon plants will green, and birds will chirp, and skies will all turn blue.
The world rejoices on this day, “It’s spring!” says me, says you!
