Brink of Insanity
On the brink of insanity she suffers,
His breath is smoke and it suffocates her,
His words stab her like a dull knife,
Not enough pain to die,
No that would be too easy.
Instead he torments her agony.
His betrayal feeds on her innocence
In the depths of her darkness.
On the brink of insanity she screams,
Silently for the pain to cease,
The pain that burns her soul like ice,
The pain that only she can feel,
The pain she must endure,
Alone.
On the brink of insanity she prays,
For a revolution,
For redemption,
For a will that’s stronger than his grasp,
For strength to cease the weeping,
For forgiveness that seems un-reachable.
On the Brink of insanity she waits….
