Favorite Quote:
"Forgive and Forget".

The sky is dark,
Silence lingers.
Winter’s coldness clings to sleeping trees.

Sparrows perch on leaf-less branches
Like plums.
Some hop aimlessly on the city’s cold pavement
Looking for food.

Do the sparrows sing less
Brightly in winter’s cold?
Or are my windows closed?

The author's comments:
The inspiration for this piece was watching sparrows during the winter.
