Midnight
Summers night
Swaying in the back porch swing
Looking up at the stars in the sky
Cool breeze blowing through my hair
Crickets chirping in the background
Fresh air filling my nose
Serene Thought’s filling my mind
Headlights from the street passing me by
Rustling of the leaves fading in and out
My head resting on a gentle shoulder
Soft blankets resting in our laps;
shielding us from the cold
Fingers filling the empty spaces between mine perfectly
Strong arms pulling me closer
Drifting in and out of sleep
