Last Week of Term
Today is not Monday
 And I am not here.
And my feet have no blisters on them
And my legs are not aching
And by biceps are not swollen
 With lactic acid.
And I do not have homework
 A month overdue.
And I do not have gym today
And it is not during the hottest part of the day
And I will not be putting my muscles under any strain whatsoever.
Over the weekend I did not crash that party
 And slap my boyfriend
And I did not get caught
Or lose any of my friends
Or make any of them angry.
And I am not fat, or ugly,
And Japan is not in trouble.
 You may call it denial,
 But today is not Monday
 And I am not here.
