Closer and closer

Dust is kicked up
Whips flying everywhere
However one emerges
Riding through the chaos

The rider jumps off
Holds the trophy
The fulfillment isn't there
Has he actually won?

Through all the destruction
And pain he caused
The looks from his fellow riders
The looks of disgust, and loss of respect
