Walks up to the starting line
Almost at a monumental pace
Tense and not stretched
Crouched down, like it's about to pounce
A shot starts the race
Racing and starting to warm
Building up a sweat
The running gets easier
Crossing the finish line
It's hot and at ease.

The author's comments:
I chose to compare March to an Olympic runner because i thought the two were very similar. In the line "Racing and starting to warm," you can apply that to the month because March goes by fast and the temperature is higher at the end of the month. You can apply that to an Olympic runner because as they are running, they start to sweat!
