fallen flocks
feathers in the ashes
cherry blossoms
satin sashes
eroded by sea salt
doused by dust
homes and houses
left to rust
flag painted
by morning sun
flying half mast
threads undone
stitch them together
so morning sun flies
take this moment
to arise
