the streets shine
from the fresh rain
that has just f

the stars sparkle above,
and light the night sky.

the streets are quiet,
like the countryside.

in the distance,
i hear a river
moving s l o w l y.

the soft wind caresses
the tree branches,
and they sway back and forth.

the neighboring offices
are now dark and empty,
the entire city is silent.

The author's comments:
We were required to pick anytime and free verse the whole poem, i chose two am because i love the middle of the night and have peaceful and quite it is.
