Game Over
Pac Man,
bright like a cartoon sun,
advances to level three.
Scooting his way through the flashing
entrance, he encounters a bundle of bananas.
Pac Man accepts
without knowledge of its dangers.
The initial fruit energy
is not enough to conquer
the ongoing maze.
Pac Man, too young for such perils,
becomes dizzy, bouncing off walls,
hurting himself and those around him.
The blue ghost attacks,
consuming Pac Man. Points are nonchalantly
subtracted from his already-short life.
The hypnotic game
would not occur if men learned
to refuse the bundle of bananas.
It is poisoned with alcohol.
