I am a beacon,
Incandescent,
Everlasting,
The sole survivor.

Around me,
Loneliness,
A barren wasteland,
Everyone is gone.

I live on,
Still radiating life,
As the deaths pile up,
I forsake myself to longing for another.

I am immortal,
The cost is too great,
I bear the deaths,
Of my many beloveds.
