You Chose Me
The blazing, fiery, sun set silently over the calm blue waves.
There was beauty,
there was brilliance,
there was us.
On the beach,
rolling in the soft, warm, sand,
forgetting about reality,
and forgetting that tomorrow you won’t be here.
But now here we are,
you on one knee, sinking into the sand,
and me with tears running down my face,
knowing to say yes.
How could such a moment be anymore perfect than it already is?
The beauty of your fingers entwined in mine,
the soft touch of your soft pink lips against mine,
the feeling of your arms wrapped tight against my tiny body.
Out of the six billion people in the world,
you chose me.
Alexander Michael F.,
YES!
