Reality Becomes a Dream

Love is a vivid dream,
only seen, never touched.
It's like someone dropped a bomb,
you took it off me, threw it away.

I could be at my last straw, confused, angry, and betrayed.
Then, when I look into your eyes,
everything is okay.

I used to think love would send your heart racing,
beating uncontrollably.
But, no, when I look at you,
everything is calm.

You pop out of nowhere, and when you do,
I feel like dropping everything and running to you.
I feel nothing: the food, the clothes, the life,
is worth anything if you are not near by.

I feel bare, empty, and heartless, nothing makes sense to me.
Then I think, why does this all matter if you don't love me.
I don't know,
but that is why I love you.

Thank you! I'm glad to have my world of imagination come out to other people!

I like the way you use similes and metaphors.  The poem shows what love means to you in a clear way!
