Beautiful Nation

I close my eyes,

And drink in it's beauty,

It's a beauty so dark it's light,

It sinks into my mind,

It'll stay there forever,

And forever it will stay bright,

It is a great lesson,

One i'll never forget,

For if I forget i'll never fight,

I won't fight for what I believe in,

Nor shall I fight for what's just,

And what's unjust will keep me in fright,

It is but a memory,

But not one of mine,

That makes me feel safe at night,

This is the memory,

Of the birth of our nation,

One whose colors are blue, red and white.

This poem is about how the people that started this country went and did what they wanted, and how great this country really is.
