Children fill with excitement
As they run out their doors
To play outside in glorious weather
And find an escape from their chores.

The ground is no longer blanketed in white,
But rather painted in green.
Rain is providing life to the lifeless
And uncovering things unseen.

Birds sing their love songs
And flower buds take a peek at the sun.
Animals awaken from long slumbers
To see what new adventures they have to come.

Although beautiful and bright
Some say spring is too good to be true.
For many people everywhere
Are pulling out their tissues.

However, as the world recovers from a harsh winter,
It is a stepping stone.
Beauty surrounds us all,
And no one feels alone.

It is a season of changes,
A season of life.
A season of laughter,
And a season of light.
