Quite Ugly

My poetry isn't beautiful,
scrawled like messy cursive
across a sheet of paper
with punctuation splayed;
ink droplets
splattered all over a page.
My poetry isn't beautiful
in the form of imagination:
creativity lacks inspiration,
so I just sit down
and write
these ugly words.
