When I gave you that ring
It was a promise from me
To love you forever
Through our life journey
Sometimes it is hard
To love you always
But in the end
Your still wearing that ring
That night was the hardest
When you took your last breath
And left me alone
To finish our quest
Now here in the casket
You lie down in rest
Placed on your finger
My loving promise
Now you are gone
But my love never changed
Because a promise is a promise
And those I don’t break
