Nightime was the battlefield,
My enemy was my love,
Fighting sleep..I knew somehow..someway,
I had to rise above,
Sure it was 2 am,
Fighting the sleep cycle,fighting REM,
There was homework to be done,
People to chat with,
My laptop was losing bandwidth,
I closed my eyes,
And a quarter to five,
I realized sleep had won.
