Simple Sailor

March 28, 2011

I’ve sailed the seas a thousand times,
I’d sail them a thousand more,
If it would make my heart less sore,
No matter how much I glide and soar,
I need not cross the ocean more,
If you would love me once again,
I’d be your girl,
Forever, till the end.

Sometimes, love is futile. You can try as hard as you can, but sometimes it's just not meant to be. This poem is about a love that, (no matter what this girl does) is futile.
