The True Life Of Mac N' Cheese
Sitting in my blue and yellow box,
Waiting for the day to be eaten
Just waiting
For days at a time
Then,
Suddenly,
The creaking of the floor boards,
and the rumble of the stomach.
I still remember the day
she picked me up,
So comfortable, in her soft embrace.
I’M FALLING!
So fast, I can’t keep up
with the speed of my screams.
Just when I think it’s the end,
I fall into this pool of warmth.
Dumped in the pan,
Sitting like humans in the hot tub,
The all mighty giant spoon descends
and stirs me up.
The water is now drained from my hot tub,
Into the great silver death.
And now the awkward sets in…
I’m naked.
She is now pouring some random, powdery, yellow stuff on us
It tastes sour and sweet like chocolate at the same time.
She stirs us together,
Gets a bowl and takes another, smaller spoon,
Lifts me to her mouth and chews me up,
And swallows.
She is satiated and my journey is complete.
