Every Single Way

In every Single way
I have learned the world
Is very hard to conquer
My mom says, “Why do you think so high?”
And I think, is it really bad to think high
She says, “Take life step by step”
And I respond, “Why? Is it so bad to think too high?”
In every single way I have learned
That I can’t cover the whole world with one finger
I have learned that life is very hard
In every single way I have learned that
It hurts as if your heart has been ripped out,
Though not literally because if indeed it was this way I would be dead,
That it hurts when the crush you have does not even look at you
It crushes you, hence crush
In every single way I have learned
To love myself
Love yourself
Whether you be tall, short, fat, skinny, beautiful or ugly,
But there are no ugly people,
Love yourself
I have learned that not every single thing can be conquered
I have flown high and the view down here is pretty lame
In every single way I have learned
Not to give up on friends, but most importantly
Not to give up on myself
In every single way I have learned
That people act tough
Because they don’t want their feelings hurt
I have learned that being too nice
Might just be a cover up
Cover up, Not to get hurt
In every single way I have learned chances go and come
In every single way I have learned
That I can’t conquer the world or cover it with one finger
Will I try?
I most definitely will try, because In Every Single Way I Have Learned
Nothing is impossible
In every single way I have…
