nothing will change.

I check it everyday,
hoping word from you will show,
but all I see is an empty screen.
I dial it everyday,
hoping to hear your voice,
but all I get is the machine.
I save it everyday,
hoping one day you will notice the empty spot beside me,
but all I see is you walk by.
I do it every morning,
hoping you will notice my straight hair and perfectly applied mascara,
but all I get is a look from you that is dry.

Wow. I love this. Its sad, but so relatable... The first little stanza is my favorite. Great job capturing the dejected feeling. Embracing it helps you move on, I promise.
