That Long Gone Wish
Oh star above my tree of greens
My wish one in millions in your sea
I wish he does not fall for she
So he may come back to loving me
I know that it isn’t quite fair
To demand that he stay right there
But I wish his dad would start to care
About anything but his most recent affair
My friends they only say “oh darn,”
“You two together was nothing but harm”
But I know I’d happily give my right arm
To find out if three times is really the charm
Oh star above my magnolia tree
The one that I can barely see
I wish that you can make it be
That long gone chance of him and me
