O’ guardian angel

Hear my prayer

My sweet daughter

So young

So beautiful

And so good

With a world so strange out there for here

One where she is all alone

As she sets out away from home




O’ my guardian angel

Watch over her

Protect her

And shield her

Guide her

And hold her

Provide her with light

When darkness surrounds her

Show her the way

When she finds herself astray

Comfort her

When there is no one there who can

Give her happiness

When all those around her are in sorrow

Give her hope

When all hope seems lost

Give her strength

When she feels she is most weak

Show her the path of virtue

When all around her are virtueless




I send her,

My child

My beautiful daughter,

Into the world so foreign and so cold

And I place her in you hands

Let no bad befall her

Let her see no evils

Let her feel no sorrows

Let her heart be filled only with joy

Give her all that you can
