The night is where I live
The night is where the stars are
My life is in the day
But my love is in the night
The night holds me close
But keeps me safely distant
She gives me what I want
But she'd never let me get
What I need
She never lets me sleep
My eyes never fully rest
But I resist the night's lust
By my abilities' best
The night loves me
And I love her
But our relationship
Most find
Improper
