The Lonely House
I suppose I will stay
In my room for the rest of my evening.
So I don't need to be part of this lonely house,
For the love is trapped into the lonely heart and soul.
As I walk down the halls,
Which now are empty,
And watch as the walls,
Turn to white.
And all those pictures
Hanging on the wall,
The people,
The places,
The faces,
They just fade away.
When,
Then, you will come to that dead-end,
That nobody ever wishes to see!
There is no use turning around,
For the walls are white,
Blank,
And you don't know which way you came.
But if you manage to find a door,
Open it,
And the room shall be a safe place to stay.
No loneliness can reach you there.
And Maybe,
In the morning,
It's time for your day to begin,
Then maybe,
The walls will be gone,
And the world will be alive,
And you can walk away from this house.
This lonely house,
And the walls that can catch you,
Trying to make you, too, fade away.
