I want to go to sleep
but I am restless
Its winter out;

I feel like
I have
white eyes.

There's no birds
singing out
in the trees.

I have an idea
to help me
go to sleep.

I will wander
around my house
pretending to fly like a bird

Clearing my mind
of my grave thoughts
of death and pain.

As I fly
the world below
me begins to grow.

The lights
look like
stars.

The people
look like
ants.

The roads
like a
big maze.

The trees
swaying
against
my wings


As I finally
got tired,

I flew
to my bed
back into my
human form,

And now I
sleep in my
restless bird thoughts.
