Out of Body Questions

If only
I could just step out of my body
Just for a minute
Leaving this cold
Meaningful Heartbeat
Behind me

What would I find
On the planes of half-being
Half-nothing?

Would it be
An Ethereal wasteland
Or an
Astral dump?

Would I lose
All sense of sanity
And well-being
That comes
With having a body to waste?

I don't fear that
Else I would embrace fear-
What an odd concept
For would anyone
Embrace themselves?
