A Lost Friend
Every morning I’d wake up to see if she was there.
I’d look in her cage,
but nothing, it was just unfair.
I waited and waited, I even checked the air.
To see if I could see her,
but nothing, it was just unfair.
I wonder where she went. I wonder why she went.
I guess she didn’t like me,
Maybe I’ll just vent.
Finally, I could take no more.
My bird was gone,
until I opened her cage door.
