Made obscene by red
Virtuous and virginal when I knew you
Now marred by grasping hands
Flesh once soft from lack of touch
Tongue pink
now sunken cheeks highlighted by dark rings
Now pale and haunted
Scarred by fire
Blessed be my crystalline princess
For the light you captured in your chest
Replacing heart and life
