Little kids worry about them
under the bed
in the closet
in the tree outside their window
who would have thought
they would follow me
in my thoughts
and in my dreams
every waking moment
throughout my years
my monsters never leave
they haunt me
day and night
trying to ignore them
it never works
my monsters never leave
but i can still live.
