Ink and paper are sometimes passionate lovers, oftentimes brother and sister, and occasionally mortal enemies. ~Terri Guillemets

My world in my arms,
Words meant only for me,
I love you baby,
But only in my dreams.

See, it’s not like you’d ever guess,
My world is slowly falling apart,
My dreams are my escape,
Forever with you.

I wish you knew,
What you’ve reduced me to,
My love for you can only be real,
In my own mind.

“Let your dreams take flight,”
Well, maybe I will,
Maybe I’ll tell you,
How I really feel.

I had you in my arms,
Until one day we pulled away,
Didn’t want to be together anymore,
Except for in our dreams.

This was a just a random poem detailing what I've found that many people experience: a powerful break-up, though both people are still desperately in love wit each other... They're just to proud or stubborn to admit it.
