Thursday night romance
I was young when we met
I wasn’t looking for love,
but you pulled me in, and held me tight.
I cried for you when you were sad,
I smiled for you when you were happy.
You helped me to understand
Together for years,
you came and went through the seasons
But I always waited
I can feel you pulling away,
Like our signal is getting weaker
Or it is just you, getting older?
I know that soon you will have to leave me
but until then I will wait for you,
every Thursday night
On the couch,
In front of my TV
